Tanzania's President Promises Action After Deadly Collapse

Twenty people have been confirmed dead and 86 rescued as rescuers continue their attempts to find people still trapped in the collapsed building. President Samia Suluhu Hassan has expressed optimism that victims might still be found alive beyond the standard 72-hour timeframe. 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has ordered the police to locate the owner of the Kariakoo building that collapsed. Majaliwa said that the government is at the end of its investigation into the collapse and plans to release a detailed report soon.

A total of 86 people were rescued, but several others remain missing.

Meanwhile, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has ordered a comprehensive inspection of all buildings in Kariakoo.
